How to Install LED Canless Recessed lighting – Upgrade Flush Mounted Lights
This is how to install recessed lighting in an existing ceiling without attic access. This will replace an existing light fixture. I will be upgrading a flush mounted light fixture with a canless LED recessed light.
If the bulb goes out do you replace?
is it best to have all recessed LED in the whole house ? seem like recessed light are easier to change
Where can I find these?
Would have been helpful to actually show how you connected that mess of electrical wires to the new box. And how you secured that LED box.
i am having difficult time turning the metal part of the dome light. it will not move so I can not take the dome light down. Any suggestion? thanks
Thanks for leaving out the main thing everone watches these videos. The wiring back to the new one.
Great! Thanks for the video. I love the improvement.
Not all cans are screwed in, they’re nailed into a floor joist above (your ceiling) at right angles…. then what?
My major concern is the giant circle left behind from the metal dome
I hope this video helps you with your recessed lights installation! Let me know if you have any questions and..

What brand light?
Nice vid! What’s the name of the song?
now you can’t remove it and no one has a can that size for you the revert back
I like the old light better
Thinking of doing this
This music really had me expecting
“I TOOOOLD YOU LOOOONG AGOOOOO”
Great video but what if your box is nail in ? By the way ALL of mine are and the fix is to go into the attic and tear the electrical box from the 2×4 and then do everything you did.
Time to work on the popcorn ceiling
How did he get all those wires into that mini junction box?
theres no bracket? How does it stay in place?
Great step by step tutorial! It is always great to know how to fix and change out things around your home! Handy!
where did you purchase this?
Wow 1 recessed light for the whole room! Brilliant!! Lol
Just adding 1? How do you add more than 1?
I’m going to push a piece of insulation up ahead of the pot light
This is the and professional job ever see.
I think that dissuaded me from using recessed lights…
This didn’t show the unmounting the junction box from the attic, generally always these electric boxes are fixed to a 2×4 stud that can only be reached from inside of the attic & then can be pulled out from the attic not prying it out from the bottom.
Best video ever
That annoying drumbeat!
The previous recessed light fixture was more beautiful than the next and new recessed light fixture, the previous light was more classic, elegant and stylish than the new fixture whitch is with a style more simple.
Is it 4inch or 6inch LED? Thanks.
I prefer the old style!!!
What kind of approved NM box connecter did you use? OR did you just run the wires through the knockouts, exposing them to the sharp metal edges of the junction box?
