In this video you’ll see how easy it can be to install under-cabinet LED lighting strips as well as over-the-cabinet LED light strips.
You can do this with-out soldering, splicing, or in-wall outlet & switch installations!
ALL of this and it’s SMART, for your SmartHome. By adding the Smart outlet adapters and a Smart motion sensor you won’t have to even turn them on when you enter the room. You’ll be able to change the LED colors as well as turn them off and on, if you want, with your Amazon Alexa device or Google Home Device by speech.
I have set the upper’s to come on at 7pm and off at 2am, daily. The lower countertop lights come-on automatically, when you walk around the island by the motion sensor mounted on the lower kickplate.
NOTE: You must have a SmartThings hub in order to have the Z-Wave motion detection sensor to be part of this project and work as you walk into your room and your smart outlets that the LED’s plug into must be z-Wave.
You can do this with just ALEXA/Google Home Outlets, but just know that I don’t have any idea if they make a smart motion sensor that Alexa/Google recognize at this time. You would just have to “Announce” “ALEXA, turn on the kitchen”.when you walk-in.
